guidEase
Last Updated: May 15, 2026
These Terms of Service are a legal agreement, but we've written them to be as clear as possible. If you're a guidEase user, you deserve to actually understand what you're agreeing to. If something is confusing, please ask us.
guidEase is operated by guidEase, Inc., a Delaware corporation. References to "guidEase," "we," "us," or "our" throughout these Terms refer to guidEase, Inc.
By creating an account and using guidEase, you agree to these terms.
guidEase is an AI-assisted journaling app designed for autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD individuals — a tool for reflection, self-understanding, and pattern-recognition over time. guidEase is intended for general wellness and self-reflection purposes only.
guidEase is not:
The AI analysis features in guidEase are designed to help you reflect on your own words and experiences. They are not clinical assessments. Please do not make significant medical or mental health decisions based solely on guidEase's analysis.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please contact a crisis line or emergency services:
To use guidEase, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the app. guidEase is for personal, non-commercial use only.
By using guidEase, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that the information you provide is accurate.
You can create an account with only a PIN — no email address required. We store only a hashed (non-reversible) version of your PIN. If you forget your PIN and have no email on file, we cannot recover your account.
If you provide an email address, we can help you recover access to your account. Email accounts work the same as PIN-only accounts in all other respects.
You are responsible for keeping your PIN and/or password secure. Do not share your account credentials with others. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.
guidEase offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription ("Premium") that provides access to additional features, such as expanded AI usage, advanced insights, and enhanced export options. Features and pricing may change over time. Any price changes will be communicated in accordance with App Store policies, which may require your affirmative consent before applying a higher price to your subscription.
guidEase is currently available on iOS, with a web version planned. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. To manage, cancel, or request a refund for your subscription, go to: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device, or visit Apple's subscription management.
We do not handle or store payment card information directly. All payment processing is handled by the platform provider.
You can cancel at any time through your device's subscription settings. You retain access through the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
We may display in-app announcements through our News & Updates section, which is part of the core app experience and cannot be disabled separately. We may also send push notifications (when enabled) related to reminders, insight alerts, or important account events. You can disable all push notifications by adjusting notification permissions for guidEase in your device Settings.
If you are using guidEase through TestFlight (Apple's beta testing program), you are using pre-release software. Beta versions may contain bugs, have features that change or are removed before public launch, or be less stable than the released version.
Your data in beta is protected by the same practices described in our Privacy Policy. We recommend exporting your journal entries periodically as a precaution during the beta period.
By participating in beta testing, you agree to provide honest feedback and understand that the software is not final.
You own your journal entries and everything you write in guidEase. We make no claim to your content.
By using guidEase, you grant us a limited license to store, encrypt, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This includes sending your content to our third-party AI providers (OpenAI) when you explicitly request AI analysis.
We do not use your journal content to train AI models. We do not share your journal content with other users. We do not sell your content.
You agree not to use guidEase to store or transmit illegal content, harass or harm others, or attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the app or its infrastructure.
guidEase's AI analysis features are powered by OpenAI. When you request an analysis, your entry is decrypted and sent to OpenAI for processing — without any identifying information attached.
AI analysis is based solely on what you've written, is not reviewed by a human before being returned to you, is not clinical or diagnostic advice, and is not always accurate. You use AI-generated outputs at your own discretion and risk.
AI-generated content may be upsetting, factually inaccurate, or contain advice that does not apply to your situation. You agree not to rely on AI output for decisions about self-harm, harm to others, or for medical, legal, or financial decisions. If you experience thoughts of self-harm or are in crisis, please contact 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or your local emergency services.
You can permanently delete your account from within the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes all your journal entries, mood data, memories, insights, associated storage files, and local app data. This cannot be undone.
guidEase uses Supabase Pro, which maintains automated point-in-time recovery backups with a 7-day retention window. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our active database immediately. Encrypted copies may persist in automated backups for up to 7 days before being permanently overwritten. We cannot restore deleted data from these backups.
Support ticket records may be retained for up to 12 months as described in our Privacy Policy.
We work hard to keep guidEase running reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to take the app offline for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances outside our control. We are not liable for any loss of data or access resulting from downtime.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users or the service, or belong to users under 13 years old. Where possible, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to export your data first.
You may close your account at any time using the in-app deletion feature.
guidEase is provided "as is" and "as available," and we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, to the extent permitted by law. We are not responsible for errors or interruptions in our service; issues caused by third-party providers; loss or harm resulting from your use of guidEase; decisions you make based on AI-generated content; or mental health, medical, legal, or financial outcomes related to your use of the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to your use of guidEase shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100), regardless of the cause of action. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at hello@guidease.app. We'll work in good faith to resolve it informally.
Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under JAMS rules, rather than in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial for covered disputes. For claims under $10,000, guidEase will pay all JAMS filing and arbitrator fees.
You and guidEase agree that each may bring claims only in individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action.
This arbitration agreement does not apply to claims that qualify for small claims court, requests for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property, or any claim that applicable law requires to remain in court.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles. To the extent any dispute must be litigated in court, the parties consent to the jurisdiction of courts in Delaware.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless guidEase, Inc. from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We may access, preserve, or disclose information if required to do so by law or in a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect the rights or safety of guidEase or its users, or respond to a lawful government request.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and guidEase. They supersede any prior agreements. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, these Terms govern.
If guidEase does not enforce any right or provision in these Terms, that is not a waiver of that right. Any waiver must be in writing.
guidEase may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction. You may not assign your rights without our written consent.
Our website, app, and policy documents may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these external sites. You access third-party links at your own risk.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects when these Terms were last revised. Your continued use of guidEase after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may delete your account.
If you obtain guidEase from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply: (i) this agreement is between you and guidEase, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for guidEase or its content; (ii) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for guidEase; (iii) Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this agreement and may enforce it against you; (iv) all other Apple-required terms apply as set forth in the App Store Terms of Service.
